
Become a Florist
A florist is someone who designs floral arrangements for some of life’s most special occasions, including dances, weddings, parties, and the like. A florist can use his or her design talents to create one-of-a-kind floral arrangements that not only wow their intended audience, but that allow the florist to use her creativity in a fashion medium that’s unlike any other.
There are many advantages to working as a florist, including:

Some florists work for small flower shops, others for large floral chains, some for grocery or hardware stores, and others for floral wholesalers. Still other work as florists part time, making one-of-a-kind floral arrangements from their kitchen table.
If you’re considering a fashion career as a florist, you should have good people skills, be able to work creatively within a variety of budgets, and be able to capture the theme of an event appropriately with your work. A little practice and a good eye for detail can go a long way in making a successful floral career.
